He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Bronst and Grete Bronst; his wife Birgit; his sister Irene; his children, Kenneth, Deborah Golladay (Jeff), Steven (Dawn Taylor), Michael (Casey) and Kristine Soukup (Joseph); his grandchildren, Jennifer Vergara (Matt), Jessica Dobbs (Austin), Jeffrey Golladay, Anina Wood (Austin), Ashlyn Nolan, Colin Nolan, Sarah Hayes (Bill), Regan Bronst, Nathan Bronst, Dylan Bronst, Isabella Soukup and Rosalie Soukup; and his nephews, Brian and David Kyst.
He is survived by: his great grandchildren, Ava Vergara, Kira Vergara, Oliver Hayes and Rowan Hayes; his nieces, Linda LaGambina (Jerry) and Stefanie Mueller; his nephew Paul Kyst (Kim); and his brother-in-law Erling Kyst (late Marion).
