He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. Pitman and Alice I. Pitman (McCuley); and his sister Rosa Pitman. He is survived by: his wife Crystal Rasmussen of Keokuk; his children, Neikeia Lesko (Jim) of Sandwich, Erin Pitman of Keokuk, Thomas Pitman Jr., Joe Pitman and Dustin Pitman (Noemi) of Hurst, Texas; and his sister Loretta. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
