He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Harold McVeigh and Margaret McVeigh Carlin (Young); and his siblings, Marilyn Hodges, Mary Alice Brown, Susie Knoch (Leroy), Lorraine McVeigh and Delane McVeigh.
He is survived by: his children, Myron McVeigh (Tiane Sparrow) of Keokuk, Heather Bradley (R. K.) of Kahoka and Amy McVeigh (Matt Hager) of Fort Madison, Iowa; his brothers, James Harold McVeigh (JoAnn) of Wayland, Larry Andrew McVeigh (Julie) of Hamilton and Edward "Sonny" Van Velkinburgh of Kahoka, Missouri; his grandchildren, Brandon Hymes (Haylee), Brittney Nadratowski (Dan), Kimberlie Ludwig (Nate), Kelsey Small (Grady), Leighton Bradley (Taylor), Ashtin Smith (Brayden), Gage Dodson (Dashyia Deal), Garrett Sargent and Gannon Sargent; and his close friend Margaret Londrigan. He is also survived by her children and grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
