He was predeceased by: his parents, Orvel B. and Minnie Prior (Hopkins); his wife Esther Irene Walker; his granddaughter Andrea Prior; and his sisters, Hilda Mae Harris, Joyce Allen and Bonnie Baker.
He is survived by: his children, Dr. Duane Prior of Warsaw, David Prior of Carthage and Twila Carlson (Vince) of Denver, Colorado; his niece Marsha Malloy; his granddaughters, Brittany King (Andrew) and Kayla Prior; his great grandchildren, Kanaan, Eden and Zion King; and his siblings, Marjorie Ridings of Greenville, Myrtle White (Chester) of Carthage and Charles Prior (Mary) of Deerfield, Wisconsin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials may be directed to the Smyrna Primitive Baptist Church.
