With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Max Lee Gronewold of Carthage, Illinois, who passed away on May 9, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernhard "Ben" J Gronewold and Wilhelmina Gronewold (Franzen); and his brothers, Milford, Mylon and Meinert.
He is survived by: his children, Greg Gronewold (Mindi), Merlin Gronewold (Jolene) and Roberta Maue; his grandchildren, Ashton Gronewold (Madalyn), Brooke Davidson (Evan), Claire Maue, Luke Maue (Tayler) and Ian Maue; and his siblings, Marlene Kanoy and Morris Gronewold (Karen). He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
