He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Martin and Doyle Bernice Bolton (Nichols); his wife Judy; his grandchildren, Katie Frakes and Kollin Lionberger; and his son-in-law Ed Lionberger.

He is survived by: his former wife Judith Kay Hoing; and his grandchildren, Kaylyn Lionberger, Kevin Lionberger, Kristian Lionberger, Dr. Mark Frakes (Hayley), Sara Reinhardt (Joe), Emily Shinkle (Dustin), Samantha Bolton, Lisa Bolton and Charlie.
