He was predeceased by: his parents, George Milton and Carol Anne Thompson (Kyle); his wife Carol Lee Hoing; his daughter Barb Hayes; his great grandchild Nicholas Blair; his siblings, William Haze Thompson and Martha Anne Fritz; and his siblings-in-law, Warren Fritz, Charles Hoing, Don Hoing, Dale Bruenger, Wayne Bolton and Judy Bolton.
He is survived by: his great grandchild Tristen Hermann; his granddaughter Tracy Hermann; his great grandchildren, Billy Hermann and Chappell Thompson; and his sisters-in-law, Roberta Bruenger and Evelyn Hoing. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
