John Ufkes Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Ufkes of Carthage, Illinois, born in Keokuk, Iowa, who passed away on August 5, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry J. Ufkes and Alpha F. Ufkes (Faulkner); his wife Beverley E. Cochran of Carthage; his children, Brent Ufkes (Angie) of Carthage, Brad Ufkes (Anne) of Carthage, Traci Johnson (Ronnie) of Blandinsville and Tonya Boyer (Eric) of Carthage; and his grandchildren, Ashley Darbyshire (Dillon), Austin Ufkes (Gera), Addison Ufkes, Tyler Ufkes (Kristy), Cody Ufkes, Brittany Ufkes (William), Haeli Lerdal (Jake), Skyler Howd (Jacob), Ethan Johnson, Braxton and Bailey Boyer. He was also cherished by ten great grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Illini West FFA, Friends of 4-H Livestock Auction or Trinity Lutheran Church in Carthage.
