Adkins (Carthage, Illinois), born in Elliott, Iowa, who passed away on March 11, 2018, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn McClanahan; his children, Michael Adkins (Cathy) of Albany, Craig McClanahan (Jane) of Ames, David McClanahan (Deb) of Coal Valley, John McClanahan (Michelle) of Spring Grove and Carol Beckett (Randy) of Ames; his grandchildren, Alison Mounce, Jeff Adkins, Dan McClanahan, Sarah Guillen, Marc McClanahan, Elizabeth Rumende, Laura Rendall, Molly Beckett, Andrew McClanahan, Sarah McClanahan, Jacob McClanahan, Grace Beckett and Rachel McClanahan; his great grandchildren, Piper Mounce, Iva Rendall, Ian Rendall, Nova McClanahan and Calvin Rumende; and also, John McClanahan and Jacqueline McClanahan.
