Joan Long Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Long of Carthage, Illinois, born in Council Grove, Kansas, who passed away on May 29, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Ellison and Alberta Ellison (Jones); her husband Marlin Kenneth Long; her children, Randall Ken Long and Marla Joan Grossaint; and her brother Tom Ellison.

She is survived by: her children, Ricky Kevin Long, Terry Lynn and Marcia Jo Patterson (Jeff) of Quincy; her grandchildren, Todd Grotts (Chelle), Dusty Grotts, Cassie Grotts, Shane Alexander, McKensey Green (Wyatt), Caleb Long (Terri), Breton Long, Breegan Long, Shawnee Deters (Cody), Drew Dickerson (Courtney) and Jimmie Patterson; her great grandchildren, Bryor, Brianna, Brennan, Bryson Grotts, DeVante Jackson, Elleanna Mantia, Kelsey Printy (William), Sydney Grotts, Madyson Day, Brynley Long, Bella Strader, Nash Alexander, Coy, Dawson Green, Luke, Barrett, Ellie Deters, Emmalyn, Aubriana and Breton Dickerson; and her great great grandchild Addelyn Printy. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchild.
