Harold Ray Starr Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Harold Ray Starr (Carthage, Illinois), born in Keokuk, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 20, 2024 at the age of 89. He was predeceased by: his parents, S. Cleophus Starr and Florence Starr (Bolton) of Hamilton, IL.; and his brothers, Lester Starr (Shirley), Dean Starr and Lloyd Starr (Virginia).
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Lane; his daughter Jodi Miller (Brian) of Ankeny, IA; his sister-in-law Marjorie Starr of Carthage; and his nieces and nephews, Ron Starr (Patti) of Nauvoo, IL, Karen Taylor (Clark) of Missoula, MT, Maria Elam (Kevin) of Knoxville, TN, Jean Starr of Hamilton, IL, Keith Starr (Joanne) of Charles City, IA, Linda Starr of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Martha Miller (Neal) of Nashville, TN. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Printy Funeral Home (405 Cherry St, Carthage, IL 62321). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (402 Main St, Carthage, IL 62321). A burial was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 at the Moss Ridge Cemetery.
