Gertrude Huls Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 25, 2021, at the age of 96, Gertrude Huls of Carthage, Illinois passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gertrude Huls to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John and Hannah Wachtendorf (Tobias); her husband Irvin Huls; her sons, LaVerne "Shotsie" and Jerry; her son-in-law Jim Payne; and her siblings, Richard, Junius Wachtendorf, Anna Reed and Wilma Martens.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Payne of Carthage, Connie Sutton (Bill) of South Carolina, Dale Huls (Clarice) of Keokuk, Kevin Huls of Carthage and Brenda Huls of Keokuk; and her sisters-in-law, Marilyn Cameron and Erma Huls. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and step-grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and step great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Immanuel Lutheran Church or Memorial Hospital Foundation Inpatient Services.
