Chester L. Hanks Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Lavern Hanks and Johanna E. Backer Hanks; and his brother Robert Hanks. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Hanks; his children, Chester Lee Hanks (Chip), Nancy Kea Hanks, Ricky Lee Hanks, William Roy Phillips (Ally), Lydia, Evelyn, Andrea Kea Phillips-White (Kolton), Skye and Brian Keith Phillips, II (Tara); and his brother Herman Hanks (Barbara). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the First Christian Church (701 Wabash Ave, Carthage, IL 62321). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 10:45 AM at the same location.

Memorials may be made out to the First Christian Church or the Carthage Golf Club.
