It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Short (Carterville, Illinois), who passed away on April 26, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Hock and Maime Hock (Jones); her husband Paul Dean "P. D."; her daughter Linda Ellis; and her siblings, Elizabeth "Betty" Gibbs, Butch and Ray Hock.
She is survived by: her daughter Teresa Guetersloh of Carterville; her sisters, Frances Donovan of West Frankfort and Doris Barnard of West Frankfort; her siblings-in-law, Jack Short (Janice) of Herrin and Deloris Jean Patrick of Marion; her grandchildren, Sean Guetersloh, Katelyn Guetersloh and Shannon Smith; and her great grandchildren, Marten Guetersloh, Alexis Beers, Olivia Beers, Douglas Abell, Bryan Briley and Darryl Mueller.
Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or to Christian Covenant Fellowship Church.
