She was predeceased by: her parents, Elroy O'Neal and Rhea O'Neal (Harris); her husband Eugene "Gene" F. Welch; her sons, Kelley and Bruce Welch; and her siblings, Lucille Etherton, Nettie Raymond, Kelley and E. T. O'Neal.
She is survived by: her son Mark Welch (Pat) of Macomb, Illinois; her grandchildren, Jillian Wort of Mt. Sterling, Mark E. Welch of Clemson, Jason Welch (Michelle) of Brentwood, Timothy Welch (Kari) of Springfield, Megan Welch of Herrin and Sunni Welch of Herrin; and her daughter-in-law Elaine Welch of Carterville. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
