Fred Washburn Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fred Washburn of Carterville, Illinois, born in Carbondale, Illinois, who passed away on July 28, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard O. Washburn and Inez Catherine Washburn (Mann); his grandparents, O. L., Ila Washburn, Willie and Luvinnea Mann; his great-aunt Eileene Washburn; and his parents-in-law, William "Byo" and Audrey Edwards.
He is survived by: his former wife Donna Edwards; his wife Donna "Cookie" Washburn; his daughter Kendra (Ed Yocum); his grandchildren, Katie Bug and Will "Spike" Yocum; his close friend Bob Bush; his brothers-in-law, Bud Edwards (Mickey), Joe Edwards (Mary) and Scott Edwards (Stephanie); his aunt Katie Tackett; and his pet Scrappy. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The preferred form of remembrance is memorial contributions made to the NFLCC (National Fishing Lure Collectors Club) Youth Group or to the Friends of Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge-Special Olympics Activities.
