With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eddie Nelson of Carterville, Illinois, who passed away on October 23, 2020 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Nelson and Pauline Nelson (Drake); his wife Barbara Ann Baxter; and his daughter Angela Hess. He is survived by: his son Wade Nelson (Lisa) of Makanda; his grandchildren, Ashley Hess of Herrin, Ferrol Hess of Carterville, Joshawa Hess (Michelle) of Carterville, Wyatt Nelson of Makanda, Brittany Hunter (Dallas) of Auburn, Brandee Beltz of Herrin and Brandon Beltz of Makanda; his great grandchildren, Dalton Hess, Gabriel Hess, Haidyn Clover, London Shadowens, Logan Fortner, J. J. Beltz, Neko Allen, Nova Hunter, Kora Hunter and Lola Hunter; his brother John Nelson (Heather) of Okawville; his nephew Brett Baxter of Carterville; and his son-in-law Randy Hess.
