It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Don A. Rich of Carterville, Illinois, born in Mount Vernon, Illinois, who passed away on September 27, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Rich and Grace Rich (McPherson); and his sister Viona Marlin. He is survived by: his wife Mary Rich of Carterville, IL; his daughters, Amanda Grace Rich of Carterville, IL and Jennifer Alice Jones of Carterville, IL; his sister Minta; his brothers-in-law, Chuck Rainey of Salem, IL and Richard Marlin of East Moline, IL; and his friends, John Speroni, Pat McGavic, Tom Courtney and Mickiko Eberle. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Don's memory due to his extended illness are preferred. Contributions may be made payable to "Mary Rich" and may be mailed c/o Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 North Court Street, Marion, Illinois 62959.
