We are sad to announce that on June 21, 2021, at the age of 77, Charlie Barnes of Carterville, Illinois, born in Herrin, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Everett and Pauline Barnes (Jackson); and his siblings, Everett Ray, David Franklin Barnes, Paula Collins and Edna Bailey.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Barnes of Carterville; his children, Shawn Barnes (Melinda) of St. Louis, Bonnie Howerton (Kevin) of Carterville and Donna Compton (Adam) of Carterville; his grandchildren, Brennan, Cameron Barnes, Ruby Madison, Delaney, Charlie Howerton, Kenadi and Kash Compton; his sister Anna Faye Biggs of Herrin; and his sister-in-law Betty Cox of Kerr, Texas. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a host of dear friends.
