He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond W. Murphy and Pearl E. Gross Murphy. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Ann Goodall; his children, Missy Camden and Christopher Murphy of Jerseyville; his siblings, Ronald "Ronnie" Murphy and Patricia Bamberg (Matthew) of Iowa; his niece Kelly Lawson; and his nephew Danny Murphy. He is also survived by five grandchildren, five great grandchildren.
