It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marlin Gross of Carrollton, Illinois, born in Medora, Illinois, who passed away on December 22, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Gross and Cora Meeks Gross; and his siblings, Sue Fry, Cecil Loy, Dorothy Gross, Leroy "Cork" Gross, Arnold Gross, John "Jack" Gross and Raymond Gross.

He is survived by: his spouse Sandy Stringer; his sons, Terry Gross (Maliea) of Carrollton, Tony Gross (Jill) of Quincy and Marty Gross (Sarah) of Carrollton; his grandchildren, LeeAnn Hilton (Joshua) of Carrollton, Levi Gross (Jennifer) of Tamarac, FL, Dr. Amanda Matlock (Tim) of O'Fallon, MO and Olivia Gross of St. Charles, MO; his great grandchildren, Conner, Aiden and Landon; and his siblings, Richard Gross of Carrollton, Joe Gross (Susan) of Utah, Imogene Merrick of Carlinville, Barbara Guthrie (Jerry) of Missouri and Sharon Joiner of Carlinville.
