He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Schmidt (Carrollton) and Anna Schmidt (Meyer); and his brothers, Fred, Joseph, Charles and Bob Schmidt.
He is survived by: his siblings, Joe, Charlie, John Schmidt and Henrianne Schmidt. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Johns Catholic School.
