He is survived by: his wife Rita Sherfield McCarty; his children, James Edward McCarty of Marion, Edward Wesley McCarty of Eldorado, Jackey Dean McCarty of Carrier Mills and Kimberly Stein of Middletown, Ohio.; his sisters, Carolea Langham of Michigan and Bonnie Vangelon of Ohio; his grandchildren, Christopher McCarty, Reagan McCarty, Adelynn McCarty, Anna McCarty, Ashley Neal and Michael Fay; and his brothers, Buddy McCarty, Edward McCarty, Bobby McCarty and Richard McCarty.
