With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph W. Yates in Carrier Mills, Illinois, born in Carterville, Illinois, who passed away on October 30, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow W. Yates and Martha Belle Yates (Patrick); his siblings, Carl Raymond "Bubby" Yates, Elizabeth Ann Gooden, Glenda Horn and Martha May (Raymond Horn); and his brother-in-law Russ Bailey.
He is survived by: his children, Jeanie Yates of Marion, IL, Beth (John Dixon), Joe (Carrie Yates) and Tina (Timothy Allen); his grandchildren, Aaron Wheeler, Nathan Giovanetti, Jacob Dixon, Emma Dixon, Austin Yates, Lexis Yates, Rory Carr and Keranda Yates; and his siblings, Brenda Baily of Herrin, IL, Leah (Paul Mullins), Cyndi (Martin Stout), Linda (David Holland), Glenn (Karla Yates) and John Yates of Herrin, IL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
