It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Padgett (Carrier Mills, Illinois), born in Eldorado, Illinois, who passed away on May 23, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernie Padgett and Katie Padgett (Penrod); his son John Padgett, II; his grandson Jason D. Padgett, II; and his sister Georgia Hardin.

He is survived by: his wife Helen Runyon; his son Jason Padgett (Elena) of Federal Way, Washington; his grandchildren, Megan Padgett, Jacqueline Padgett, Katerina Padgett and John Padgett III; and his brothers, Vern Padgett of Las Vegas and Kenneth Padgett (Marilyn) of Tacoma, Washington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
