He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Juan Reyes and Carmen Reyes (Rivera); his children, Juan Reyes III, Michael Reyes (Lolit), David Sr. Reyes (Gina), Jane Paulin, Ann Haug (Bill), Lorraine McLees (Robert) and Rugen Reyes; his grandchildren, Nicole (Don), Alex, Kevin, Chris, Monica, Lance, Eagan, Melissa, William and David Jr.; his great grandchild Lincoln; his sister Araceli Mendoza; and his wife Guadalupe B. Reyes.
