John E Vehrs Obituary

John E. Vehrs, age 54, of Carpentersville, passed away suddenly and very unexpectedly on Friday morning, July 12, 2024, at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin.

John was born in Arlington Heights on March 20, 1970, and was the son of the late Lawrence A. & Carol (nee Carney) Vehrs.

John was a former Schaumburg resident and a 1988 graduate of Schaumburg High School and has lived in the Carpentersville area for the past 20 years. Most of John's professional life was largely dedicated to the Automobile industry, a field he was deeply passionate about as an avid car enthusiast.

Survivors include his twins, son Ethan and daughter Megan. Other survivors include his former wife and longtime friend and companion, Lisa M. Vehrs; his step-mother, Darla Roberts Vehrs; and his siblings: Virginia (Don) Van, Laurie (Ken) Maas, David (Darlene) Vehrs, Matthew Vehrs, James Roberts, Rachael (Brad) Purl, and Jesse Roberts. John also has many nieces, nephews, a grand-niece, and a grand-nephew, as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless good and faithful friends.

At John's request, he will be cremated. John's family will host a memorial gathering honoring his life on Sunday, July 14, 2024, from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Miller Funeral Home in West Dundee.
