With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gene H. Wells of Carpentersville, Illinois, born in Cary, Illinois, who passed away on January 7, 2022 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gene H. Wells to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward R. Wells and Sarah Wells (Egerton); his wife Shirley Waschow; his siblings, Ralph, Earl and Helen Barnette; and his friend Joyce Berke.

He is survived by: his children, Candace Hopp (Douglas) and Glenn Wells; and his grandson Eric Hopp (Irene). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Gene's name may be directed to the church.
