He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Roy and Phyllis Hillyer (Clement); and his siblings, Charles Hillyer and Deborah Hillyer. He is survived by: his wife Georgean Hillyer; his children, Christopher Patrick Hillyer (Megan) of Carol Stream, Joseph Hillyer of Sycamore, Jessica of Rochelle, Aaliyah of Rochelle, Joshua of Rochelle and Alexandrea Hillyer of Rochelle; his siblings, Timothy Hillyer of Collinsville and Valarie Bailes (Alec) of Wenona; and his sister-in-law Rose Hillyer of Streator. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the care of his daughter.
