With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Elizabeth Gilbert of Carol Stream, Illinois, who passed away on March 12, 2022 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her siblings, William Bishop Shockey, Eleanor Ann Pease and Marguerite "Peggy" Shockey. She is survived by: her husband Billy C. Gilbert; and her sons, Jonathan and Mark Gilbert. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
