He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Alice Smith; his children, Jason Smith (Corrine Taylor), Brian Smith (Jenna), Jacob Smith (Dana Larsen), Matt Smith (Marie) and Kris Carlson; his parents, Thomas Smith and Ova Lee Smith; his grandchildren, Taylor, Alex, Gabi, Jake, Kyle, Brianna, Madelynn, Sofie, Jordan, Alexa, Kayden, Cameron and Addysyn; and his siblings, James, Glen, Hagan, Joyce, Leroy, Janice, Bobby and Thomas Smith. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
