He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Herndon and Lee Herndon; and his brothers, Lee Herndon, James Herndon (Jim), Roger Herndon and William Herndon (Bill).
He is survived by: his wife Emily; his siblings, Ann Hoeke and Robert Herndon; his children, Deborah Isenberg (John), Stephen Herndon (Laurel), Lois Williams, Nancy Goodwin (Patrick) and MaryBeth (Keith); and his grandchildren, Will, Quinn, Annabelle, Nathan Goodwin, John L Herndon, Christie Herndon, Grace Goodwin Heiting, Stephen Isenberg, Lisette Isenberg, Karl Isenberg, Rachel Williams Lund, Kate Isenberg Parker, Melissa Williams Wajda (Missy), Daniel Williams and David Williams. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton (715 N Carlton Ave, Wheaton, IL 60187).
