As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Gary may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerhardt Hanson and Olga Hanson; and his son Kurt. He is survived by: his wife Lois; his children, Andrea Adams (late David) and Erik Hanson (Windy); his grandchildren, Sydney Ankeney (Jackson) and Nicholas Adams; and his brothers-in-law, Ray Leafgren (Darlene) and John Leafgren (Sue). He is also survived by his two step-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Glen Ellyn Covenant Church (277 Hawthorne Blvd, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137).
