With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Thompson (Carmi, Illinois), born in Hammond, Indiana, who passed away on April 11, 2020 at the age of 60. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William Thompson to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Thompson and Myrtle Thompson (Varner); his wife Lois Malzac; and his siblings, Kathy Thompson, Chester and Allen Thompson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Donna Unfried (Hugh) of Carmi, Cheryl Burnett (Alan) of Carmi, Becky McCormick (Terry) of Carmi and Melissa Churchwell (George "Tom") of Carmi; his grandchildren, Courtney Newberry (Brandon Desper), John Goemaat (Laura), Levi Williams, Hunter Williams, Chad Burnett, Elizabeth Bleeks (Tyler), Amanda Farrar (Kevin), Alexa Churchwell, Justin Burnett (Stephanie), Kyle Burnett and Derek Burnett; and his great grandchildren, Emeree Desper, Aiden Desper, Tyler Goemaat, Natalie Goemaat, Ian Goemaat, Parker Burnett, Zoe Hull, Hallie Burnett and Mollie Burnett.
Due to the National COVID-19 crisis and mandate on gatherings, service for Mark Thompson will be private with burial in North Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Pets At Risk in Mark's memory.
