He was predeceased by: his parents, George T. Heil and Lola Grace Heil (Barbre); his former wife Rebecca Lou Armstrong; his wife Susie Hayes; and his siblings, George Eugene Heil and Mary Catherine McKnight.

He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Fearday (Gene) of Effingham, Doug Heil (Debbie) of Eddyville and Dennis Heil (Melanie) of Mill Shoals; and his grandchildren, Angie Perkins (Shannon), Candi Switzer (Dan), Denny Wallace (Michelle), Chris Wallace (Missy), Ryan Fearday (Ann), Darin Fearday (Rosie), Ashley Fearday Ramsey, Bryce Fearday, Matthew Heil (Kayci) and Amy Hubbard (JD). He is also survived by 20 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Wayne's Memory to the Carmi White County Schools Foundation and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
