It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ricky Joe Wayne of Carmi, Illinois, born in Morganfield, Kentucky, who passed away on March 2, 2023, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Mildred Nichols Courtney; his grandparents, Arlan and Rose Nichols; and his brothers, Bruce Cowan, Billy Steve Cowan, Jerry Buchanan, John R. Courtney, Jr. and Dale Courtney.
He is survived by: his sisters, Sherri Gwaltney (Jack) of Norris City, IL and Rose Hess (Randy). He is also survived by Several nieces and nephews.
