He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben J. Behler and Hattie Victoria Behler (Puckett); his wife Jewell Harvey; his children, Richard Dyke Behler, Stanley Dike Behler and Linda Rose Behler; his great grandchild Ivy Pyfrom; and his siblings, Mary Alice Brashier, Helen Matsel, Jeanette Smith, Rosenell Questell and Ben Joe Behler.
He is survived by: his daughter Melissa V. Simpson (Camille Gemayel) of Arlington, VA; his grandchildren, Zayne Richard Simpson (Carlee), Talon Reid Simpson (Michelle) and Lexie Jewell Pyfrom (Dexter); his great grandchildren, Chloe, Jaxson, Viggo, Vailen, Leelyn, Ellisie, Vohen, Talon Jr. and Lachlan; and his close friends, Mark and Joe Burns. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Campbell Funeral Home (609 W Main St, Carmi, IL 62821). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
The family requests no flowers and that memorial donations be made in Dike's memory to the Carmi White County High School Booster Club or the Carmi Recreational Summer League to support youth sports in the Carmi community.
