He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Newman and Mary Newman (Waters); his daughter Mary Jane Pitre; and his brother Edward A. Newman. He is survived by: his wife Betty Newman (Dillinger) of Carmi, IL; his daughter Martha Reddick of Albany, GA; and his stepchildren, Sheryl Barker (Steve) of McLeansboro, IL, James Hutchison (Alice) of Carmi, IL. and Kevin Hutchison (June) of Murphy, NC. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Joe's memory may be made to New Beginning Church of God and will be accepted by Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
