Peggy Fechter Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Fechter of Carmi, Illinois, who passed away on September 4, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob "Jake" and Marie Gillihan (Frymire); and her brother Ray Gillihan. She is survived by: her husband John Henry Fechter; her daughters, Lyndell Rice (Scott) of Carmi, Cheryl Mudd (Steve) of Evansville, IN and Gina Sailer (Jack) of Carmi; her grandchildren, Dr. Alec Rice (Brielle Fender) of Franklin, TN, Dr. Erik Rice (April) of Franklin, TN, Lauren Scott (Ryan) of Indianapolis, IN, Johnathan Mudd of Newport Beach, CA, Luke Sailer (Lindsey) of Newburgh, IN and Chase Sailer (Hannah) of Carmi; her great grandchildren, Lincoln, Lawson, Lucy Scott and Tripp Sailer; her nephew Michael Gillihan (Thea); and her niece Suzanne Gillihan Meriwether.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Peggy's memory to the National Kidney Foundation or Georgia General Baptist Church and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
