He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Albert Schumaker and Wilma Mae Schumaker (Hesson); his wife Wilma Schumaker (Winter); his daughters, Teresa Lynn Mears of Benton and Carol Ann Ackerman; his sons-in-law, Arthur Wade Ackerman of Mt. Vernon and Jeffry H. Bohleber of Carmi; his sister Phyllis Jane Bohleber (Schumaker); his sister-in-law Doris Stark (Winter); his grandchildren, Frank Wade Ackerman, Leslie Ann McNabb (Ross), Anna Winter Young (Matt), Arthur Paul Bohleber (Lesley), Alex Preston Bohleber, Olivia Beth Bohleber, Jonathon Thomas Mears (Laura) and David Mears (Julie); his great grandchildren, Jake, Adam Young, Annabelle, Rhett McNabb, Ethan, Claire Mears, Haley and Katie Mears; his nieces, Martha Bohleber Matza and Jane Brown (Stark); and his close friends, Bruce Clayton, Don Ridenour, Richard Roser, Don Seitz, Leon Terry and Brett Ward.

Memorials may be made to the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 203 Edgewood Lane, Carmi, Illinois 62821, and will be accepted at Cook Funeral Chapel, 101 Edgewood Lane, Carmi, Illinois.
