It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Gabbard of Carmi, Illinois, born in Harlan, Kentucky, who passed away on May 18, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Dempsey and Wanda June Gabbard (Blanton); his brothers, Terry Gabbard and Jack Gabbard; his daughter-in-law Beth Gabbard (Hackett); and his brother-in-law Albert Barrier.
He is survived by: his wife Kim Gabbard of Carmi, IL; his children, Becky Brown (Jerrad) of Crossville, IL and Michael D. Gabbard of Mt. Morris, NY; his grandchildren, Emily Mahon of Crossville, IL, Ethan Mahon of Crossville, IL, Brody Brown of Crossville, IL and Colton Brown of Crossville, IL; his great grandchild Kooper Cline; his sisters-in-law, Judy Gabbard of Williamsburg, KY and Sandy Barrier of Wilsonville, AL; and his pet Annie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Michael's memory to Pets at Risk and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home, 609 W. Main St., Carmi, IL 62821 who is in charge of arrangements.
