It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine Mears of Carmi, Illinois, who passed away on May 10, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Maxine Mears to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dan Wilson and Lillie Wilson (Sutton); her spouse Dallas Mears; and her siblings, Hobart Wilson and Marguerite Satterfield.
She is survived by: her sons, Bill Mears (Sandy) of Evansville, IN and Tom Mears of Carmi; her sister Joyce Vehrs of Phoenix, AZ; her grandchildren, Kim Coy (Brian), Dr. Jonathon Mears (Laura) and Dr. David Mears (Julie); and her great grandchildren, William Coy (Hannah), Dale Coy, Ethan Mears, Claire Mears, Katy Mears and Haley Mears.
In accordance with CDC recommendations social distancing will be observed and face masks are encouraged.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Maxine's memory to Wabash Christian Village and will be accepted at Stendeback Funeral Home.
