Lowell Thackrey Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lowell Thackrey of Carmi, Illinois, born in Mill Shoals, Illinois, who passed away on December 31, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Albert and Lougilla May Thackrey (Musgrave); and his siblings, Ruth King, Eva Jackson, Freda Reed, David and Walter Thackrey.
He is survived by: his wife Dorotha Witter; his daughters, Karen Strawhecker (Gregg) of Bartlett, TN, Sharon Campbell (David) of Carmi and Pharon Winter (Scott) of Wadesville, IN; his granddaughters, Bailey Deady (Ryan), Blaire Sherman (Michael), Kristen Winter and Faith Winter; his great grandchildren, Lily Kate Deady and Leighanna Jane Sherman; and his sister Fairy Taylor of Fairfield. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In accordance with the IDPH and CDC, masks will be required and social distancing will be observed.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Lowell's memory to the Crossville Church of Christ and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.
