Louis Nelson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 7, 2020, at the age of 89, Louis Nelson of Carmi, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Nelson and Nola Katherine Nelson (Hargrave); his wife Frances M. "Fran" Mills; and his siblings, Edward, Hal Ray Nelson, Lela Henson and Rebecca O'Neal.
He is survived by: his sons, David Nelson (Gayla) of Carmi, Frank Nelson (Kathy) of Carmi, Tracy Nelson (Stephanie) of Carmi and Troy Nelson (Brandy) of Norris City; his sister Trish Woodrow (Jerry) of Carmi; and his grandchildren, Jeremy, Matthew, Andy, Justin, Bryce, Brandi, Luke, Alex, Wyatt, Mitchell Nelson and Lacey Bradshaw (Keaton). He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with CDC and IDPH recommendations social distancing will be observed and masks will be required.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Wayne's memory to Cherry St. Baptist Church and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
