She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Higginson and Caradena Higginson (Stadler); and her siblings, Don Higginson, Gordon Higginson, Bernard Higginson, Phyllis Hayes and Dolores Elliott.
She is survived by: her husband Charlie Michels of Carmi; her children, John David Michels of Calera, AL, Leigh Ann Malone (Kim) of Carmi and Dena Siegert (Charles) of Grayville; her grandchildren, Brandon Siegert of Grayville, Amelia Allen (Dan) of Champaign, IL, Haley Brown (Nick) of Evansville, IN, Mitchell Malone (Hailey) of Grayville, Mallory Michels of Safety Harbor, FL and Johnna Michels of Gilbertsville, KY; her great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Charli Brown, Kolson Malone, Maxwell, Wren, Griffin and Leo Allen; and her sister Lois Helm (Jim) of Cowling. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Roberts and Cook Funeral Service (101 Edgewood Ln, Carmi, IL 62821). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
