It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathryn L. Cowling of Carmi, Illinois, who passed away on February 18, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carson Meritt and Dorthy Meritt (Dallas); her husband Jack Cowling Jr.; her daughter Kristen Kay Cowling; and her brothers, Leland Meritt and Harold Meritt.
She is survived by: her son Bryan Cowling (Jayme) of Carmi, IL; her grandchildren, Chayce Cowling and Ashtyn Cowling; and her sisters, Mary Lou Jeffers of Mt. Carmel, IL, Patsy Hocking of Mt. Carmel, IL. and Eva Smith of Albion, IL..
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Kathryn's memory to Ditney Ridge Baptist Church and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, who is in charge of arrangements.
