Kathryn C. Orrick Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathryn C. Orrick of Carmi, Illinois, born in Maunie, Illinois, who passed away on August 24, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Whitlow (Mullen) and Clarence Raymond "Jack" Whitlow; her former husband Irving Wesley Sarver; her husband Samuel Orrick; her son Allen Sarver; her stepson Sammie Orrick; her stepson-in-law John Horner; and her siblings, Marilyn Cobb (Frank), Vera Yates (Earl), Loretta Whitlow, Cyril Whitlow (Earline) and Leon Whitlow.
She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Deitz (Troy) of Carmi; her daughter-in-law Tina Sarver of Carmi; her sister-in-law Betty Whitlow of McLeansboro; her stepdaughters, Carolyn Greathouse (Larry), Mae Horner and Marie Wilson (Charlie); her daughter-in-law Ann Orrick; her stepson Don Orrick of Mt. Vernon, IL; her grandchildren, Renae Stine (Mark) of Champaign, IL, Tarah Hughes (Zach) of Newburgh, IN, Tyler Deitz of Chicago, IL, Kyle V. Wood Carmi (Brandi Hayes) and Stevie Higgins (Austin) of Michigan; and her great grandchildren, Kaiston, Bennett Stine, Peyton Hughes, Lily Buchanan, Ryan Wood, Ellie Reese, Austin, Jr., Noah and Martie Higgins. She is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kathryn's favorite charity, St. Judes Children's Hospital and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home.
