He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Brown and Mary Ethel Brown (Cox); his wife Verla Maxine Kiefer; his son Jimmy Brown; and his siblings, Archie, Robert, Charles, Clarence Brown, Mae Burrows, Lucille Newcomb, Louise Klefer and Melba Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Johnny Max Brown (Charlotte) of Palmyra, IN, William "Bill" Brown of Carmi, IL, Chris Brown (Sheri) of Carmi, IL and Judy Coston (Ron) of Carmi, IL. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Leroy's memory to Burn Prairie Township Cemetery, and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, who is in charge of arrangements.
