He is survived by: his parents, James Marshall and Nellie May Lane (Simmons); his spouse Thelma Newman; his children, James A. Lane (Ann) of Enfield, Judy Barger (Robert) of Palmyra, Marsha Rush (Clyde) of Enfield and Sharon Barger (Ron) of Enfield; and his grandchildren, Cindy Lowery (Max), Kendall Lane (Melody), Lisa South (Carl), Mindy Oakley (Jeff), Donna Miller (Jeff), Angie Rister (Justin) and Amanda McCormick (Joe).
Graveside Military rites will be conducted by the Carmi American Legion and V.F.W. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Enfield General Baptist Church or Wabash Christian Village.
