With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James H. McNew of Carmi, Illinois, born in Albion, Illinois, who passed away on October 26, 2022 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James F. McNew and Josephine M. McNew (Gabbart); his son Doug McNew; his son-in-law Jeff Smith; his nephew Jamie Brown; and his brothers-in-law, Bob Kesterson and Kenneth Cessna.
He is survived by: his wife Pat McNew (Kesterson) of Carmi; his daughters, Cindy Sneed (Darrell) of Carmi, Shellie McNew of Evansville, Sondra Smith of Norris City and Rachel Anderson (Terrence) of Newburgh, Indiana; his sisters, Sue Cessna of Sumner, Karan Brown (Corky) of Bridgeport, Crystal Arnold (Joe) of Taylor Ridge and Pam Logan (Dave) of Lawrenceville, Illinois; his brother-in-law James Kesterson of New Albany, Indiana; his grandchildren, Josh, Justin, Samantha, Gage and Star; and his great grandchildren, Brittyn, Wyatt, Conor, Riley, Gunner and Hendrix. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
